Job summary

3M is seeking a Quality Manager in Aberdeen, SD to lead quality efforts across plant operations. You will drive the development and execution of quality strategies, align with long-term plant goals, and foster a culture of robust product quality and continuous improvement.

The role requires extensive plant quality and manufacturing experience, leadership skills, and collaboration with engineering, operations and customer service to ensure design conformance and process excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher completed and verified prior to start.
• Seven (7) years of plant quality and/or manufacturing operations experience in private, public, government or military environment.
• Two (2) years of supervisory and/or managerial experience in private/public/government/military environment.
• Five (5) years of experience leading internal and external audits within ISO.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and history of leading high-performance teams.
• Experience in strategic/organizational development, operational excellence, lean implementation, financial accounting.
• Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide total quality management advice and consult with plant leadership to set short-term strategy and operating plans.
• Determine direction and priorities and allocate resources with accountability for quality results.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations and customer service to maintain and improve product conformance to design data and requirements.
• Drive reduction in complaints and cost of quality and ensure regulatory standards are met.
• Advance quality at the source and employ technology to reduce human error.
• Oversee day-to-day FAA PMA operations within the facility and supervise Authorized Release Documents team.
