Job summary

G&W Electric Co. Production Inspector position involves validating components and finished products against production controls and ISO standards. You will perform final inspections on switches and orders, prepare NCRs, and train staff to uphold quality and process control.

The role emphasizes documentation, safety, and collaboration with engineering teams to develop control charts and resolve non-conformances in a modern manufacturing facility.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years manufacturing experience preferred.
• Reading and interpreting drawings, schematics, BOMs, wiring/ladder diagrams is desirable.
• Basic computer skills (MS Word/Excel); ERP experience a plus.
• Ability to use measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, Fluke multimeter).

Responsibilities

• Perform final inspection tasks on switches and part orders
• Train production personnel in effective process control methods
• Prepare reports for all findings
• Possess authority to shut down non-conforming processes after notifying supervisor
• Prepare and enter Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
• Write Customer Improvement Initiatives (CII) for repetitive problems
• Report ISO violations to Cell Leader/Manager
• Contribute to process control charts and safe, clean operations
• Conserve resources and assist with inspections as needed
• Inspect all work before passing to next operation
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms
