Job summary

G&W Electric Co. is seeking a Production Inspector in Bolingbrook, IL to perform final inspection on switches and orders, ensuring conformance to ISO standards. The role includes training production personnel in effective methods and preparing comprehensive reports on findings.

You will have the authority to halt non-conforming processes and contribute to corrective actions. The position requires a High School diploma or GED, and 1–3 years in manufacturing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or GED.
• 1-3 years in manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read drawings, schematics, BOMs, wiring/ladder diagrams desirable.
• Basic computer skills with MS Word/Excel; ERP experience desirable.
• Ability to use calipers/micrometers and Fluke multimeter.

Responsibilities

• Perform final inspection on switches and parts before shipment.
• Train production personnel in effective process control methods.
• Prepare reports for all findings and NCRs.
• Shut down non-conforming processes after supervisor notification.
• Write CIIs for repetitive problems and investigate ISO violations.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to implement process controls.
