Job summary

G&W Electric Co. is seeking a Production Inspector for 5:00am-1:30pm shift to ensure conformance to ISO standards and production controls.

You will inspect components and finished items, train teammates in effective inspection techniques, and generate reports on findings to support continuous improvement. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 years in manufacturing, and proficiency with drawings, BOMs, and basic MS Office plus ERP systems.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, BOMs, wiring/ladder diagrams desirable.
• Basic computer skills in MS Word and Excel; ERP experience desirable.
• Ability to use calipers, micrometers and a Fluke multimeter.

Responsibilities

• Perform final inspection on switches and part orders being shipped.
• Train production personnel in effective process control methods.
• Prepare reports for all findings.
• Enter Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
• Write Customer Improvement Initiative (CII) for repetitive problems.
• Create/implement process control charts for critical processes.
• Maintain safe and clean working environment and conserve resources.
• Inspect all work before passing to the next operation.
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
