Job summary

G&W Electric Co. is seeking a Quality Control Inspector I to inspect component parts and finished products for conformance using visual inspection and basic measuring tools.

You will perform final inspection tasks on all switches and orders, train personnel in process control, and assist in NCRs and ISO compliance. The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Able to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and BOMs.
• Experience with measuring tools such as calipers/micrometers and multimeters.

Responsibilities

• Perform final inspection tasks on all switches and part orders.
• Train production personnel in process control methods.
• Conduct internal process audits and report findings.
• Shut down non-conforming processes after notifying Supervisor.
• Communicate drawing discrepancies to Engineering.
• Participate in customer inspections as needed.
• Assist in NCRs and corrective actions for recurring problems.
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
