Job summary

Dover Corporation is seeking a Quality Inspector II for the 2nd shift in Richmond, VA. You will inspect cases and parts, mentor others, and ensure shipments meet specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities include data collection, part measurements with calipers/micrometers, load testing, and collaborating with the Quality team. Strong teamwork and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years related experience and/or training.
• 2+ years of measuring equipment experience.
• 2+ years reading and interpreting part/assembly blueprint tolerances and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety, quality and performance procedures are met in a safe, clean, and organized setting; offer recommendations to improve these standards.
• Data collection and charting.
• Part measurements to prints utilizing calipers, micrometers, CMM.
• Load/product testing.
• Work with Quality team on line-ups, audits, and inspections.
• Must be a team player with good teamwork skills.
• Resolve supplier invoice/product discrepancy errors with other departments.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of inventory storage locations.
• Perform various material handling duties (forklift, hand truck, etc.).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
