Job summary

Draper in Cambridge, MA is seeking an Inspector A to perform inspections and audits of parts and materials, ensuring compliance with drawings, specs, and quality control programs. You will interpret drawings, sample materials, and determine methods for inspection to support in-process and final assemblies.

The role requires 5+ years of relevant inspection experience or 10+ when education is not met, with familiarity in electronic, mechanical, and electrical components.

Qualifications

• A minimum Associates Degree in engineering or science; a Bachelor's is preferred.
• Alternative: two years of technical schooling plus related experience.
• High school diploma with two years of technical schooling acceptable.
• CQI certification from ASQ is a plus.
• Completion of Military Technical School also considered.

Responsibilities

• Inspect a variety of materials, components, assemblies and systems.
• Create or revise inspection procedures and flows.
• Conduct source inspections at off-site facilities.
• Identify bottlenecks and assist in resolution.
• Document results and generate inspection reports and procedures.
• Follow safety and housekeeping standards and train junior staff.
• Work independently to complete assignments.
