Job summary

Draper in Cambridge, MA is seeking an Inspector B to perform inspections and audits of purchased parts, materials, equipment, and quality control programs. You will interpret drawings and specifications to approve or reject units for in-process or final assemblies, and you will sample and test incoming components to ensure they meet standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent with two years of technical schooling in engineering, science, or mathematics, or an equivalent

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with two years of technical schooling related to engineering/science/mathematics.
• Two years of technical schooling may be satisfied by an Associate degree or five college credits in engineering/science topics.
• Quality Inspector Certification (CQI) from ASQ is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections on materials, components, assemblies, and/or systems.
• Document work results and generate inspection reports.
• Conduct visual, workmanship, dimensional, and electrical inspections.
• Comply with safety and security rules and maintain good housekeeping.
• Complete assignments with minimal direct supervision.
