Job summary

The Charles Stark Draper Laboratory, Inc. in Cambridge, MA is seeking an Inspector B to perform inspections and audits of purchased parts, materials, components, and systems. You will interpret drawings and specifications to approve or reject items and generate inspection reports.

You will document results, follow safety rules, and work with minimal supervision. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent with two years of technical schooling in engineering/science, plus experience

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent plus two years of technical schooling related to engineering, science, and/or mathematics.
Two years of technical schooling may be satisfied by an Associates degree in engineering or science or five college credit technical courses in engineering/science/math.
Quality Inspector Certification (CQI) from the American Society for Quality (ASQ).
Employees hired before TBD, 2012 require minimum two years experience as a precision mechanical inspector.

Responsibilities

Perform inspections on materials, components, assemblies, and/or systems.
Document work results and generate inspection reports.
Interpret engineering drawings, sketches, and inspection procedures.
Follow verbal and written instructions and adhere to safety rules and good housekeeping.
