Qualifications

Job Title: Quality Improvement Consultant

Location: Methodist Hospital

Department: Cardiology Service Line

Position Status: Full-Time

We are currently seeking a Quality Improvement Consultant to support the Cardiology Service Line at Methodist Hospital. This position is scheduled for Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no on-call, weekends, or holidays! Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, coordinate, implement, and evaluate continuous quality improvement activities for assigned populations.
  • Work independently and lead specific work groups focused on clinical care improvements.
  • Conduct ongoing analysis of gaps in clinical care and barriers to achieving optimal patient outcomes, aligning necessary interventions with the organization's strategic plan.
  • Facilitate the organization’s performance improvement process in collaboration with project team leaders.
  • Conduct training and education programs for staff and physicians on performance improvement methodologies, data analysis, data processing, and work simplification techniques, along with other relevant topics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master's degree in clinical healthcare or business preferred.
  • Registered Nurse with an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license preferred.
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in quality improvement or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of data entry systems (e.g., NCQA IDSS/ISS tools, electronic health records, supplemental databases, HEDIS software tools) may be required.
  • Occasional local travel may be necessary (no overnight travel required).
