Job summary

ABB is seeking a Quality Engineer to blend technical design authority with customer engagement on ABB Critical Power projects. You will be the primary contact for quality and technical issues, coordinating with ABB service, engineering, factory, and product management to deliver successful outcomes for complex projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 7+ years' experience in electrical distribution or power systems.
• Master's degree with 5+ years' experience in electrical distribution or power systems.
• Fluent in English; strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as ABB's primary customer contact for quality and technical issues, leading communications, onsite support, action plans, and resolution timelines.
• Act as the technical and design authority for engineering deliverables on moderate- to high-complexity projects.
• Review and approve designs, perform verification and peer reviews, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, contractual, and as-built documentation requirements.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges while communicating product gaps, customer needs, and market trends to commercial and product management teams.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, testing, commissioning, service, supply chain, sales, and product management to ensure successful project execution.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects, including work plans, cost estimates, RFQs, supplier evaluations, project meetings, contract variations, and timely delivery of engineering outputs.
