Job summary

ABB Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer to serve as the primary customer contact for quality and technical issues on Critical Power projects. You will act as the technical authority, review designs, and lead cross-functional teams to resolve customer quality issues.

The role requires 40% travel and remote work options, enabling engagement with customers while supporting project delivery across ABB's Smart Power portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 7+ years in electrical distribution or power systems.
• Master's degree with 5+ years in electrical distribution or power systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as ABB's primary customer contact for quality and technical issues and lead communications, onsite support, action plans, and timelines.
• Act as the technical and design authority for engineering deliverables on moderate- to high-complexity projects.
• Review and approve designs, perform verification and peer reviews, ensure safety, quality, contractual, and as-built documentation.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges; communicate product gaps and customer needs to commercial and product teams.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, testing, commissioning, service, supply chain, sales, and product management for project execution.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects: work plans, cost estimates, RFQs, supplier evaluations, project meetings, contract variations, and timely delivery.
