Job summary

ABB Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead customer-facing quality issues on Critical Power projects. You will serve as the technical authority, review designs, and drive verification to ensure safety, quality, and contractual compliance.

The role requires close collaboration with engineering, product management, and service teams. Remote work is available, with 40% travel for customer visits and project support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; 7+ years in electrical distribution or power systems.
• Strong communication and English fluency, written and spoken.
• Experience with MS Office, Teams; ability to leverage AI tools.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
• Ability to build partnerships with product management, engineering, and service.
• Eligible to work in the US for ABB.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary customer contact for quality and technical issues, directing communications and timelines.
• Act as technical and design authority for engineering deliverables on moderate- to high-complexity projects.
• Review designs, perform verification, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and contractual requirements.
• Identify and address technical challenges, communicating needs to commercial and product teams.
• Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, testing, service, supply chain, sales, and product management.
• Manage multiple projects including work plans, cost estimates, RFQs, meetings, variations, and delivery of outputs.
