Job summary

ABB is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead customer-facing quality activities for Critical Power projects. You will serve as the technical and design authority, review designs, and collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and service to resolve issues and deliver successful projects.

The role requires 7+ years in electrical distribution or power systems, strong communication skills in English, and the ability to manage multiple projects while traveling up to 40% for site visits and project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; 7+ years in electrical distribution or power systems.
• Master's degree with 5+ years in electrical distribution or power systems.
• Proficiency in MS Office, MS Teams; ability to leverage AI tools in job functions.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Serve as ABB's primary customer contact for quality and technical issues, leading communications, onsite support, action plans, and resolution timelines.
• Act as the technical and design authority for engineering deliverables on moderate- to high-complexity projects.
• Review and approve designs, perform verification and peer reviews, ensure compliance with safety, quality, contractual, and as-built documentation requirements.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges; communicate product gaps and market trends to commercial and product management teams.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure successful project execution.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects, including work plans, cost estimates, RFQs, supplier evaluations, project meetings, contract variations, and timely delivery of engineering outputs.
