Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks a Quality Engineer to drive quality goals and customer satisfaction. The role collaborates with engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. You will support audits, PFMEA, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

The position is onsite in Lubbock, TX, with opportunities to develop through data-driven quality projects and cross-functional teamwork in a global company.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering, quality management or other technical discipline.
• 0-3 years of industry experience in manufacturing or quality.
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and root cause of quality issues.
• Knowledge of quality management systems, ISO 9001.
• Experience with audit agencies/notified bodies.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to communicate across cultures/regions.
• Willingness for domestic/international travel.
• Strong track record in continuous quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Drive execution of quality goals and objectives; meet internal and external customer expectations.
• Work cross-functionally (engineering, purchasing, suppliers, manufacturing) to identify causes of failures and drive corrections.
• Provide engineering support (electrical/mechanical) for root-cause analysis.
• Prepare reports for internal and customer use; develop action plans.
• Lead PFMEA teams and contribute to process/product improvements.
• Develop quality plans and process controls to meet ISO standards.
• Participate in audits and support NPI projects.
