Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Quality Engineer to participate in creating and operating a Quality Management system that processes volume orders from customers while maintaining ISO 9001 certification. The role focuses on efficient inspection processes, handling rejected material, and coordinating with suppliers and new technician onboarding.

The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, proactive problem solving, and familiarity with Quality tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience operating a manufacturing quality system.
• Experience with part prints and tolerancing.
• Experience with inspection tools, handheld and advanced equipment (CMM, vision systems).
• Ability to write clear instructions and follow instructions.
• Proficient with spreadsheets and basic statistics.
• BS in technical field or engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and document standard procedures
• Create and execute inspection plans, gather data as needed
• Assist with root cause analysis of issues, follow up on corrective actions
• Maintain Quality records and prepare customer documentation
• Assist with calibration
• Other quality tasks as needed or assigned.
