Accelera is seeking an engineer to optimize departmental performance through rigorous processes in assembly and welding. The role involves developing controls and OMS documentation to sustain operational updates across the production floor.

The candidate will leverage SAP, MPPlanner, and JDAAT to execute engineering tasks, drive continuous improvement, and support safety, quality, and efficiency goals in a unionized manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, analytics, or related field.
• Ability to interpret technical prints, CMM reports, and datasets.
• Experience in welding and assembly within production environments.
• Willingness to work weekends and off-shift hours.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

• Execute continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and ergonomics within the department.
• Develop process controls, assembly methods, and control plans while managing OMS documentation for operational updates.
• Utilize software platforms including SAP, MPPlanner, and JDAAT to carry out essential engineering tasks.

Required Qualifications

• Background in production environments, specifically involving manufacturing assembly and welding processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, data analytics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of professional experience.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical prints, CMM reports, and various measurement datasets.
• Strong interpersonal skills to foster effective collaboration between salaried and wage-earning team members.
• Practical knowledge of shop floor documentation, including PFMEA, Sequence of Events, and Operator Methods Sheets.
• Flexibility to maintain a schedule that includes weekends and off-shift hours.
• Proven familiarity with standard engineering databases and technical tools.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in MPPlanner for the creation of OMS and SOE documentation.
• Competency in managing closed loop corrective action workflows.
• Experience with JDAAT coding and MES platforms such as Ignition or SAP.
• Background working within a unionized labor environment.
• Hands-on experience utilizing torque-related tooling.
• Capability in using Creo View and AutoCAD design software.

Compensation and Benefits

The base hourly rate for this role is $45.95 - $45.96. Overtime is compensated at 1.5 times the base rate for hours exceeding 40 per week, subject to local regulations. Final salary offers are based on individual experience, education, and skill sets.
