Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $48 per hour (W2 contract, no C2C)

What’s a typical day as Quality Engineer (QE Weld / Assembly)? You’ll be:
- Identifying and implementing continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, efficiency, cost, and ergonomics within the department.
- Establishing process controls, tooling, assembly methods, operator method sheets (OMS), and control plans for current operation revisions.
- Working with SAP, MPPlanner, and JDAAT to perform essential engineering functions.
- Driving closed loop corrective actions for assembly and weld build issues.
- Collaborating with engineering and production teams to enhance shop floor processes and documentation.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have experience in manufacturing assembly, weld processes, and production environments.
- Can read technical prints, CMM reports, and interpret measurement data.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both salaried and hourly personnel.
- Possess experience with shop floor documentation such as Sequence of Events (SOE), PFMEA, and Operator Method Sheets (OMS).
- Can work off shifts and weekends as required.
- Are skilled in using engineering tools, systems, and databases.
- (Preferred) Have experience with MPPlanner (SOE and OMS development), closed loop corrective action, JDAAT coding, and other MES systems (SAP, Ignition).
- (Preferred) Have experience in a union environment, torque tooling, AutoCAD, and Creo View software.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, data analytics, or a related discipline—or equivalent related work experience.
