Job summary

Futaba North America Group in Texas seeks a Quality Assurance professional to ensure product compliance with customer requirements and provide support to manufacturing and welding processes. You will create and monitor quality documentation and drive effective countermeasures for customer complaints.

Responsibilities include data collection and reporting, root cause analysis, internal and supplier audits, KPI monitoring, and corrective actions.

Qualifications

Requires ability to analyze data and summarize findings.

Responsibilities

Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data; and making recommendations.
Respond to customer complaints through process investigations and problem solving techniques.
Perform root cause analysis and use 5 Whys, 8D, Fishbone diagrams.
Coordinate and perform internal process/product audits.
Analyze scrap for quality improvements and cost reduction.
Monitor KPIs and take corrective actions to keep targets.
Analyze spot weld and MIG weld processes for decisions and improvements.
Collaborate with departments for continuous process improvement.
Track corrective actions from suppliers and monitor supplier performance.
Support training on quality procedures and methods.
Calibrate and monitor measuring equipment.
Open to night shift as needed.

Description

This position is responsible to ensure product compliance with customer requirements, provide technical support to manufacturing & welding processes, creation and monitoring of Quality documentation and Analysis and implementation of effective countermeasures for customer complaints.

Requirements

Job Duties Include:

Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data; and making recommendations.
Respond customer complaints thru process investigations and problem solving techniques.
Root cause analysis, 5 Whys, 8D, Fish bone.
Coordination and performance of internal process/product audits.
Scrap analysis for Quality improvement and cost reduction.
PPMs daily monitoring and corrective actions to keep KPIs under Target.
Spot Weld & MIG weld process analysis for decision making and process improvement.
Interaction and collaboration with different departments for continuous process improvement.
Monitors Corrective Actions and problem-solving from Suppliers.
Maintains supplier performance metrics.
Support training for all Quality related procedures and methods.
Calibration and monitoring of measuring equipment.
Must be open to work night shift as needed.

EDUCATION, SKILLS and/or EXPERIENCE

1 to 3 years of related job experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
PFMEA and Quality Control plans experience
Good oral and written communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management, both internal and external
Ability to read and interpret assembly and component drawings and engineering specifications
Control Charts, CPK, PPK
Experience with measurement tools
Able to work efficiently in a team environment
Basic computer skills of Medium to Advanced
