SRM Concrete is hiring Quality Control Technicians to ensure concrete meets top industry standards for commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects. The role involves testing raw materials, in-process, and finished concrete, plus inspecting products and collaborating with production teams to resolve quality issues.

Entry-level candidates are welcome, with on-the-job training provided. ACI certification is a plus, and candidates with attention to detail and teamwork will excel in this

Qualifications

• Willingness to work variable shifts based on scheduled pours, including day and overnight shifts.
• Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply with on-the-job training provided.
• ACI certification, or willingness to obtain it, is a plus.
• Degree in Materials Science, Concrete Management, Construction Management, or related field preferred but not required.
• Experience in quality control or construction materials is a plus but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office); quality management software is a plus.
• Willingness to complete SRM’s pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine testing of raw materials, in-process, and finished ready mix concrete using industry-standard methods.
• Interpret test results and compare them to established specifications and control limits.
• Conduct visual inspections of concrete products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Collaborate with production and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues.
• Deliver quality control training to production staff as directed by management or technical services.
• Maintain accurate records of tests, analyses, and quality-related activities.
• Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and regulations to help improve our quality control processes.
