SRM Concrete is seeking a Quality Control Technician to help ensure our ready-mix concrete meets industry standards for commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects. You’ll perform routine testing, interpret results, and maintain records to support production teams.

The role offers on-the-job training, opportunities for on-site growth, and the chance to work with a nationwide leader in construction materials.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work variable shifts including day and overnight pours.
• Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply with on-the-job training.
• ACI certification, or willingness to obtain it, is a plus.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Concrete Management, Construction Management, or related field preferred but not required.
• Previous experience in quality control or construction materials is a plus, but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office); familiarity with quality management software is a plus.
• Willingness to complete SRM’s pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine testing of raw materials, in-process, and finished ready mix concrete using industry-standard methods.
• Interpret test results and compare them to established specifications and control limits.
• Conduct visual inspections of concrete products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Collaborate with production and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues.
• Deliver quality control training to production staff as directed by management or technical services.
• Maintain accurate records of tests, analyses, and quality-related activities.
• Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and regulations to help improve our quality control processes.
