G&W Electric Co in Bolingbrook, IL is seeking a Quality Control Inspector I to inspect components and finished products for conformance, using visual checks and basic measuring tools.

You will read drawings, work with engineers, and participate in prototype reviews; you will generate NCRs and help train others; the role requires 1-3 years manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Experience reading drawings and schematics preferred.
• Basic computer skills required; ERP experience desirable.
• Familiarity with measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Good command of English with ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform final inspection on switches and parts before shipment.
• Train production personnel in effective process controls.
• Generate non-conformances (NCRs) in production.
• Conduct internal process audits and report findings.
• Shut down non-conforming processes after notifying Supervisor.
• Communicate drawing discrepancies to Engineering.
• Participate in customer inspections as needed.
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
