Job summary

G&W Electric is seeking a Production Inspector to examine components and final assemblies for ISO and internal standards. You will train production personnel in defect-control methods, prepare NCRs, and collaborate on process controls with engineering teams.

The role requires reading drawings and BOMs, using calipers and micrometers, and maintaining accurate documentation. A medium-heavy manufacturing environment and comprehensive benefits accompany this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• 1–3 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read drawings, schematics, BOMs, wiring and ladder diagrams.
• Basic computer skills (MS Word/Excel) and ERP experience.
• Familiar with measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, Fluke multimeter).

Responsibilities

• Inspect component parts and finished products for conformance to production controls and ISO standards.
• Perform final inspection tasks on switches and orders, and train production personnel in effective methods.
• Prepare reports for all findings and escalate nonconformances with NCRs when needed.
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms and maintain clean workplace.
• Conserve resources and participate in creating process control charts for critical processes.
