Job summary

SRM Concrete (Smyrna Ready Mix) is hiring Quality Control Technicians to help ensure our ready mix concrete meets industry standards. The role supports testing of materials, in-process and finished concrete, with on-the-job training for those new to QC.

Applicants should have strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and in teams. ACI certification is a plus, and shifts may include day and overnight pours.

Qualifications

• Must be detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Entry-level candidates welcome; on-the-job training provided.
• ACI certification is a plus or willingness to obtain.
• Associate or bachelor’s in related field preferred but not required.
• Previous QC or construction materials experience a plus but not required.
• Willingness to complete SRM’s pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Test raw materials, in-process, and finished concrete using industry-standard methods.
• Interpret test results against specifications and control limits.
• Perform visual QC inspections of concrete products for quality compliance.
• Collaborate with production to troubleshoot quality issues.
• Deliver QC training to production staff as directed by management.
• Maintain accurate records of tests, analyses, and quality-related activities.
• Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and regulations to improve QC processes.
