Job summary

SRM Concrete (Smyrna Ready Mix) is seeking a Quality Control Technician to help ensure our ready mix concrete meets top industry standards. You will perform material testing, interpret results, and maintain precise records while collaborating with production teams.

Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply with on-the-job training provided. ACI certification is a plus, and shifts may include day and overnight pours to support varied production schedules.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Concrete Management, or related field preferred but not required.
• ACI certification is a plus or willingness to obtain it.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine testing of raw materials, in-process, and finished ready mix concrete using industry-standard methods.
• Interpret test results and compare them to established specifications and control limits.
• Conduct visual inspections of concrete products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Collaborate with production and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues.
• Deliver quality control training to production staff as directed by management or technical services.
• Maintain accurate records of tests, analyses, and quality-related activities.
• Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and regulations to help improve our quality control processes.
