Job summary

SRM Concrete, operating as Smyrna Ready Mix, LLC, is seeking a Quality Control Technician to help ensure our concrete products meet industry standards for commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects. You’ll perform tests on materials and finished products, interpret results, and document findings as part of a collaborative quality team.

Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply, with on-the-job training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality control or construction materials is a plus but not required.
• Entry-level candidates encouraged, on-the-job training provided.
• ACI certification or willingness to obtain it is a plus.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Concrete Management, Construction Management, or related field preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine testing of raw materials, in-process, and finished concrete using industry-standard methods.
• Interpret test results and compare them to specifications and control limits.
• Conduct visual inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Collaborate with production and operations teams to troubleshoot quality issues.
• Maintain accurate records of tests, analyses, and quality-related activities.
• Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and regulations to improve QC processes.
