Job summary

G&W Electric is seeking a Quality Control Inspector I to perform final inspections on switches and orders, ensuring conformance to process controls. You will train staff in effective methods to control processes and participate in audits, with authority to shut down non-conforming processes after notifying a supervisor.

The role requires the ability to read drawings, use calipers and micrometers, and basic MS Word/Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret drawings, schematics, BOMs, wiring/ladder diagrams.
• Basic computer skills in MS Word and Excel; ERP experience desired.
• Able to use calipers, micrometers and hand tools.
• HS diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Must understand and follow verbal and written English instructions.
• Ideally 1–3 years in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform final inspections on switches and parts for conformance.
• Train production personnel in process controls.
• Conduct internal process audits and report findings.
• Have authority to shut down non-conforming processes after notifying supervisor.
• Communicate drawing discrepancies to Engineering.
