Job summary

G&W Electric is seeking a Production Inspector to inspect components and finished products for conformance to production controls and ISO standards. You will perform final inspections on switches and orders, train production personnel, and prepare reports for all findings.

You may shut down non-conforming processes after notifying the Supervisor. Document NCRs, write CIIs for repetitive problems, and report ISO violations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED, or combination of work experience and skill development.
• 1–3 years in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, bills of materials, wiring and ladder diagrams is desirable.
• Basic computer skills (MS Word and Excel) are required.
• Experience using an ERP system is desirable.
• Ability to use measuring devices such as calipers and micrometers and a Fluke multimeter.

Responsibilities

• Inspect components and finished products for conformance to production controls and ISO standards.
• Inspect all work prior to passing it on to the next operation.
• Prepare reports for all findings and enter NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports).
• Write Customer Improvement Initiatives (CII) for repetitive problems.
• Conserve resources and maintain a safe, clean working environment.
• Train production personnel in effective inspection methods as needed.
