Job summary

AIS Infrastructure Group in the United States seeks an Assistant Quality Control Manager to aid in project QA/QC on heavy civil sites. You will review documents, coordinate tests, and support the Quality Control Manager to ensure conformance and safety across all stages of construction.

This role emphasizes field inspections, subcontractor oversight, documentation, and continual improvement of quality systems from pre-bid through post-construction, while maintaining a strong safety focus.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of construction quality control experience, including 2–3 years in heavy civil projects.
• Familiarity with soil and concrete testing and field inspection practices.
• Knowledge of industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to assist field and office engineers and coordinate QA/QC tasks.
• Strong initiative to improve processes and drive safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Quality Control Manager across all project QA/QC activities.
• Review and/or prepare design and construction documents for quality conformance.
• Implement QA/QC protocols via submittals, RFIs, inspections, and field testing.
• Enforce compliance with quality standards and project specifications.
• Oversee subcontractors and apply field supervision skills to quality goals.
• Maintain project documentation and reports for audits and client needs.
• Coordinate with PMs, contractors, and clients to resolve quality issues.
• Support continuous improvement of quality management systems across phases.
