Job summary

AIS Infrastructure Group seeks an Assistant Quality Control Manager for a major heavy civil construction project. You will support the Quality Control Manager, review project documents, coordinate tests and inspections, and maintain QA/QC records to ensure deliverables meet contract requirements and safety standards.

This role emphasizes field oversight, coordination with PMs, subcontractors, and clients, and ongoing improvement of quality management systems.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in construction quality control, with 2–3 years on heavy civil projects.
• Familiarity with soil and concrete testing.
• Knowledge of industry codes, standards, and regulations.
• Ability to assist with field and office engineer responsibilities.
• Demonstrated initiative to improve processes daily.
• Strong understanding of testing procedures, tolerances, and methods.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Quality Control Manager across all project aspects.
• Review and/or produce design and construction documents.
• Apply QA/QC protocols during construction through submittals, RFIs, inspections, and testing.
• Enforce compliance with quality standards and safety protocols.
• Oversee subcontractors and provide field supervision.
• Maintain documentation and reports; coordinate with PMs and clients.
