Job summary

Nidec is seeking motivated individuals to join our production staff in the United States. Starting rates include Skilled Labor at $24.43/hr with a sign-on bonus and Production at $20.78/hr, with increases every 3 months up to year end. Shift premiums apply: 2nd shift +5%, 3rd shift +10%.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must read and interpret technical specifications, drawings, and work instructions.
• Ability to troubleshoot quality and performance problems.
• Concentration and abstract thinking to solve problems.
• Incorporate training and new technologies into auditing and problem solving.
• Experience inspecting generators and components is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develops, plans, and recommends workable solutions to quality or performance problems.
• Requires considerable concentration in troubleshooting of problems.
• Must think abstractly, considering several factors to arrive at solutions.
• Must be able to incorporate training, seminars, developing technologies into auditing and problem solving.
• Performs inspections of assembled generators and components to detect and report nonconformances.
• Performs failure analysis of warranty returns, customer complaints, and in-house test failures.
• Provides technical assistance to production and quality assurance functions.
• Exercises good housekeeping in work area.
• Observes good safety practices in performance of job.
