Job summary

Kiewit in Lenexa, KS, is seeking an Entry Level Quality professional to join the Project Management Team. The role focuses on reporting quality performance issues to management and leading quality assurance/control activities across diverse projects in the Power Market.

The ideal candidate has a four-year engineering or science background with construction experience, strong communication, and MS Office proficiency. Travel and relocation may be required based on project needs.

Qualifications

• Engineering or science degree or technical college plus two years' field experience.
• Must be legally authorized to work without sponsorship for employment to begin or continue.
• Must be able to clearly communicate the status of quality on a project.
• Strong written and verbal communication and technical writing skills.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to perform a variety of tasks with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain effective communications with district management, project teams and engineers/clients.
• Examine and inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies and cost saving measures; take corrective action.
• Identify potential safety hazards and take corrective actions to eliminate or minimize them.
• Maintain knowledge of the Kiewit/TIC Quality Management System and promote standardization.
• Manage Welding Procedure Specification log and files for assigned districts.
• Assist in conducting project quality audits and reports.
