Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an entry-level Quality professional within the Project Management Team to report to management on quality performance across projects, including QA/QC, nonconformances, and corrective actions. Travel to assignments may be required as field work spans across the US.

Responsibilities include maintaining the Quality Management System, coordinating with customers, vendors and subcontractors, and supporting audits and reports to ensure adherence to procedures.

Qualifications

• Four years’ engineering or science degree or technical college degree plus two years’ experience in related construction field.
• Must be legally authorized to work without sponsorship.
• Must be able to clearly communicate the status of quality on a project.
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
• Ability to work in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and SharePoint software programs and quickly learn other applications.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain effective communications with district management, project teams and engineers/clients.
• Examine field conditions, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Identify safety hazards and take corrective actions to minimize risk.
• Maintain knowledge of the Quality Management System and promote standardization.
• Manage Welding Procedure Specification logs for assigned districts.
• Assist in conducting project quality audits and reports.
