Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an entry-level Quality professional to join the Project Management Team to oversee project quality performance and enforcement of procedures. You will report to management on quality issues, manage QA/QC activities, and act as a liaison to customers, vendors, and subcontractors.

The role involves travel to various project sites across North America. A four-year engineering/science degree (or technical college) and strong communication skills are required, with a competitive

Qualifications

• At least four years’ engineering or science degree or technical college degree plus two years’ experience in related construction field
• Must be legally authorized to work without sponsorship
• Must be able to clearly communicate the status of quality on a project
• Strong communication and technical writing skills for field reporting
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
• Strong organizational skills with ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain effective communications with district management, project management teams and engineers/clients
• Examine and inspect field conditions and identify problems; take corrective action as needed
• Identify potential safety hazards and take corrective actions
• Maintain knowledge of the Quality Management System and promote standardization
• Manage Welding Procedure Specification logs and files for assigned districts
• Assist in conducting project quality audits and reports
