Job summary

Kiewit in Lenexa, KS, seeks an entry-level Quality role within the Project Management Team to report on project quality performance, manage QA/QC activities, and liaise with customers, vendors, and subcontractors. The role supports the Power Market and requires travel to various project sites across North America.

The position emphasizes QA/QC leadership, adherence to procedures, handling nonconformances, and driving corrective actions across diverse EPC and power-generation projects.

Qualifications

• At least four years’ engineering or science degree or technical college degree plus two years’ experience in related construction field.
• Must be legally authorized to work without sponsorship for employment to begin or continue employment with our company.
• Must be able to clearly communicate the status of quality on a project.
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills; able to research and convey detailed information to field personnel.
• Ability to work in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint; quick to learn other software applications.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain effective communications with district management, project management teams and engineers/clients.
• Examine field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies and cost-saving measures; take corrective action.
• Identify potential safety hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain knowledge of the Kiewit/TIC Quality Management System and promote standardization.
• Manage Welding Procedure Specification logs for assigned districts.
• Assist in conducting project quality audits and reports.
