Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of quality management/quality assurance experience in metal fabrication or related manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of weld inspection, dimensional inspection, blueprint interpretation, and fabrication processes.
• Working knowledge of AWS welding standards and customer specifications.
• Experience with QMS/ERP systems, quality metrics, root-cause analysis, and CAPA.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain the company’s Quality Management System (QMS), procedures, and documentation.
• Oversee inspections of structural steel and fabricated metal products, including dimensional and weld inspections.
• Interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, weld symbols, and customer specifications.
• Lead root-cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions (CAPA), and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor quality metrics, analyze trends, and drive defect reduction and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with AWS, ISO 9001, customer, and industry quality requirements.
• Partner with Production, Engineering, and Leadership to resolve quality issues and improve product reliability.
• Train employees on quality procedures, standards, and best practices.
• Prepare quality reports and support internal and customer audits.
