ExcelliSearch, Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor for the 1st shift in Silver Spring, MD. The role leads QA in the lab and on the floor to ensure products meet quality and safety standards.

You will coach the team, review results, support audits, and partner with production to improve processes and maintain consistent quality. Flexibility for additional shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in biology, chemistry, food science, health sciences, or related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant work experience in manufacturing or QA.
• Manufacturing experience and knowledge of food industry practices.
• Laboratory testing familiarity in a manufacturing setting.
• Knowledge of sanitation, beverage processes, and microbiological or aseptic techniques.
• Familiarity with HPLC and GC techniques.
• Strong analytical, math, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work first shift with flexibility for additional coverage.

Responsabilités

• Lead QA personnel, organize daily activities, and set expectations for quality and safety.
• Develop team through training, coaching, and feedback.
• Collaborate with Production to resolve quality issues and support food safety.
• Oversee QA programs, documentation, training, and internal audits.
• Ensure compliance with product specs, regulations, and customer requirements.
• Review lab data, investigate exceptions, and identify corrective actions.
• Recommend process improvements based on results and trends.
• Prepare for regulatory, certification, and customer audits.
• Drive continuous improvement to strengthen quality and customer satisfaction.
