Job summary

Graham Packaging Company is seeking a Quality Inspector for its Modesto, CA facility. This D Shift role includes a $3.00 shift differential and focuses on ensuring bottle and final package quality prior to shipment.

Responsibilities include training new personnel on quality systems, enforcing GMP and safety policies, and working with supervisors and production staff to achieve a high-quality product. Prior QA experience is valued.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in manufacturing.
• At least 6 months quality experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Enforces safety, health, quality GMP and company policies.
• Follows established procedures and policies.
• Participates in continuous quality improvement projects.
• Compares product on each line with the production schedule and informs Supervisor if items differ.
• Performs visual checks of bottles and box glue patterns for final packaging audits.
• Reports defects and follows through to resolution.
• Works with Supervisor to hold and rework defective products as needed.
• Assists in training and coverage as assigned.
• Verifies operation of in-line inspection devices (leak testers, vision systems, metal detectors).
• Completes reports and forms for product and process documentation.
• Enters data to SPC database.
• Maintains clean inspection areas and communicates quality concerns across shifts.
