Job summary

Graham Packaging Company in Altavista, VA is seeking a Quality Inspector for the night shift (7 PM–7 AM) on a 3-2-2-3 schedule. The role ensures bottle and final package quality and trains new personnel on quality systems.

You will work with the supervisor and production staff to uphold safety and GMP standards, perform inline inspections, document results, and help with continuous quality improvements while supporting shift coverage.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in manufacturing.
• Minimum 6 months quality experience preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety, health, quality GMP policies and company procedures.
• Monitor bottles and final packaging quality per the production plan.
• Report defects and assist in rework until corrected.
• Verify operation of in-line inspection devices (leak testers, vision systems, metal detectors).
• Enter data into SPC databases and complete required documentation.
• Assist in training and provide coverage for other shifts as needed.
