Job summary

UtiliQuest, LLC seeks a Coordinator Quality Assurance to support field audits and damage prevention initiatives. You will investigate utility damages, ensure quality improvements, and communicate findings to management. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and collaboration with Operations to uphold regulatory standards.

The position reports to QA leadership and requires strong organizational skills, reliable performance, and the ability to balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
• 1+ year of experience locating underground utilities or related experience.
• 2+ years of related experience preferred.
• Thorough understanding of utility locating procedures and proficiency with locate equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot difficult locates and interpret utility plats.
• Ability to coach and mentor technicians.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills across diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Operations to identify opportunities for damage prevention through field audits.
• Identify at-risk Field Technicians needing additional training.
• Perform field audits for accuracy of marks and regulatory compliance.
• Correct field risk findings and coach technicians.
• Provide frequent feedback to Field Check partners to improve quality and reduce damages.
• Communicate audit findings with QA and operations management in writing and verbally.
• Balance multiple duties to meet daily productivity and deadlines.
• Provide witness testimony in small claims or litigated cases when needed.
• Promote a strong safety culture and uphold quality standards.
• Maintain positive relationships with clients, excavators, regulators, employees, and the public.
• Operate company vehicles safely and maintain professional appearance.
• Support hands-on utility locate training and education in damage prevention.
• Stay current on learning methodologies and technologies.
• Ticket production and weekend work may be required.
• Perform other duties as needed.
