Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
• One year or more of experience locating underground utilities required.
• Two years of experience locating utilities preferred.
• Thorough understanding of utility locating procedures and proficiency with locate equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot difficult locates and interpret utility plats.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills for working with technicians.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with Operations partners to identify opportunities for damage prevention through field audits.
• Identify at-risk technicians needing additional training to prevent damages.
• Perform field audits for accuracy of marks and compliance with state laws, regulations, and client obligations.
• Correct field risk findings and coach/mentor technicians.
• Provide ongoing feedback to improve quality results and ensure audit requests have proper documentation.
• Communicate audit findings with QA and operations management, verbally and in writing.
• Balance multiple duties to meet daily productivity and deadlines.
• Provide witness testimony in small claims and litigated cases as needed.
• Promote a strong safety culture and maintain quality standards.
• Maintain good working relationships with clients, excavators, regulators, employees, and the public.
• Operate company vehicles safely and maintain a professional appearance.
• Support hands-on utility locate training and education in damage prevention.
• Remain current on learning methodologies and technologies; weekend work may be required.
