Job summary

UtiliQuest, LLC is seeking a Coordinator Quality Assurance to support damage prevention and QA initiatives within our Operations team. The role focuses on investigating utility damages, coaching field technicians, and upholding high quality standards across assigned areas.

The position reports to the Supervisor of Quality Assurance and requires strong organization, communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring accuracy and compliance in the Damage Investigation

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of experience locating underground utilities and/or related work.
• 2+ years of experience locating underground utilities preferred.
• Thorough understanding of utility locating procedures and marking standards.
• Ability to troubleshoot difficult locates and interpret plats.
• Proven ability to coach and mentor technicians.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with computer systems and learning new software.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with/without aids.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Operations partners to identify damage prevention opportunities via field audits.
• Identify at-risk technicians needing additional training to prevent damages.
• Perform field audits for mark accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Correct field risk findings and coach technicians.
• Provide ongoing feedback to Field Check partners to improve quality and reduce damages.
• Communicate audit findings with QA and operations management in writing and verbally.
• Balance multiple tasks while meeting daily productivity and deadlines.
• Provide witness testimony in small claims or litigated cases when required.
• Promote safety culture and maintain quality standards.
• Foster good relationships with clients, excavators, regulators, employees, and the public.
• Operate company vehicles safely and maintain professional appearance.
• Support hands-on utility locate training and education in damage prevention.
• Stay current on learning methodologies and technologies.
• Ticket production and weekend work may be required.
• Complete other duties as needed.
