Job summary

Love and Loyalty Home Care LLC is seeking a dedicated leader to guide our developmental disability services program in the Northern Neck. You will coach staff, review service plans, and ensure person-centered care across locations, always keeping dignity and respect at the forefront.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s in a human-services field, at least one year of relevant experience, strong communication, and the ability to travel to service sites.

Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in a human-services field (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Special Education, Rehabilitation, Sociology, Nursing).
  • At least one year of direct experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Knowledge of developmental disability services and person-centered care.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills; capable to coach staff.
  • Demonstrated collaboration and respectful teamwork; willing to travel to service sites.
  • Credentials and training per Virginia requirements for developmental-services supervision and QDDP responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Coach and support Direct Support Professionals to build confidence and success.
  • Review Individualized Service Plans and service documentation for quality and compliance.
  • Ensure individual goals are supported and followed through.
  • Support assessments and service planning activities.
  • Identify training and support needs for staff.
  • Collaborate with individuals, families, support coordinators, schools, and healthcare professionals.
  • Visit service locations to observe services in action.
  • Resolve problems as they arise and drive quality improvement.
  • Promote dignity, respect, and kindness in all interactions.

What Will You Be Doing?

You will be an important part of making sure our services are safe, meaningful, person-centered, and actually making a difference.

  • Coaching and supporting our Direct Support Professionals.
  • Helping staff become more confident and successful in their roles.
  • Reviewing Individualized Service Plans and service documentation.
  • Checking that individual goals are being supported and followed.
  • Supporting assessments and service planning.
  • Identifying training and support needs.
  • Working with individuals, families, support coordinators, schools, and healthcare professionals.
  • Visiting service locations and seeing services in action.
  • Helping solve problems when challenges come up.
  • Supporting quality improvement and better ways of doing things.
  • Making sure the people we serve are treated with dignity, respect, and kindness.
What Do You Bring?

We are looking for someone with:

  • A bachelor's degree in a human-services field, such as Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Special Education, Rehabilitation, Sociology, Nursing, or a related field.
  • At least one year of direct experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Knowledge of developmental disability services and person-centered care.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to travel to service locations when needed.
  • Qualifications that meet Virginia requirements for developmental-services supervision and Qualified Developmental Disabilities Professional responsibilities, including applicable credentials and required Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services training.
