Job summary

Pembroke & Co. in Edgewood, MD seeks a Restaurant Store Manager to blend hands-on leadership with daily operations and business performance, delivering a guest-first service culture across busy morning and early afternoon hours.

You’ll recruit, train and lead team members, manage scheduling and payroll, drive sales and local marketing, control labor and food costs, and ensure compliance with brand standards and safety protocols in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent).
• Experience managing a QSR or restaurant (required).
• ServSafe Certification (preferred).
• Strong communication and leadership skills with a demonstrated understanding of confidentiality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on role.
• Basic math, problem-solving, and computer skills.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Manage the recruiting, hiring and training of team members.
• Build a positive, accountable team culture.
• Provide ongoing feedback, recognize performance and resolve team concerns.
• Create a guest-first culture and lead by example to deliver excellent service.
• Maintain brand standards, cleanliness, and food safety.
• Ensure proper staffing to keep shifts running smoothly and efficiently.
• Drive sales and execute local marketing efforts.
• Control labor, food costs, and cash handling.
• Review performance and take action to improve results.
• Manage scheduling, payroll, inventory, and ordering.
• Forecast staffing and business needs.
• Complete basic reporting and admin tasks.
