Job summary

Innovative Life in Washington, DC is seeking a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) for ICF/IDD to lead ISP development, oversight of active treatment, and regulatory compliance for residents.

You will coordinate with nursing, medical, behavioral, and therapeutic professionals, ensure survey readiness, and participate in DOH inspections. Onboarding is in-person, with mandatory training prior to independent duties.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Social Services, Human Services, or related field (required)
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in ICF/IDD or regulated residential services preferred
  • Experience with active treatment documentation and regulatory compliance strongly preferred
  • Experience working within interdisciplinary medical and clinical teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems

Responsibilities

  • Develop and update ISPs in accordance with ICF/IDD federal regulations
  • Ensure goals are measurable, time-limited, and consistent with active treatment standards
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning
  • Monitor implementation of programs to ensure services are not custodial but therapeutic in nature
  • Review data collection weekly to ensure compliance and effectiveness
  • Ensure documentation aligns with ICF/IDD regulatory requirements
  • Participate in DOH surveys, audits, and regulatory reviews
  • Respond to deficiencies and assist in development of Plans of Correction
  • Maintain documentation and records in accordance with federal and local standards
  • Coordinate with QA and leadership teams to support continuous compliance
  • Work closely with nurses, physicians, therapists, psychologists, and other professionals
  • Monitor medical, behavioral, and therapeutic supports for integration into the ISP
  • Provide technical assistance to RCs and DSPs on active treatment implementation
  • Observe programming and provide corrective guidance
  • Address documentation deficiencies and elevate concerns appropriately
  • Prepare Court Reports when required
  • Interact professionally with families, advocates, attorneys, DDS Service Coordinators, and QRS personnel
