Job summary

Granite Construction Incorporated is seeking a Quality Control Manager to implement and manage the QC program for a Large Federal Project in the United States. You will ensure onsite and offsite construction meets quality standards and contract requirements, supervising QC engineers and testing staff while maintaining compliance with EM 385-1-1, OSHA, and MSHA.

You will lead QC personnel, coordinate meetings, and provide technical support across pre-bid, construction, and post-construction

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of construction quality control experience with a bachelor’s degree or 10 years with no degree.
• Must complete the Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors course within 90 days of hire.
• Knowledge of EM 385-1-1, OSHA, and MSHA safety regulations.
• ASQ or ISO certifications preferred.
• Experience leading QC teams and coordinating with subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a QC system to ensure contract compliance.
• Manage QC personnel, including hiring, training, and evaluations.
• Supervise QC Engineers, testing personnel, and inspection staff on site.
• Attend and lead coordination meetings to align QC with project execution.
• Ensure safety, hazard identification, and sustainability standards compliance.
• Provide technical support during pre-bid, construction, and post-construction phases.
