Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking a QC Engineer to implement and sustain quality control on a federal construction project in Pajaro, CA. You will assist in maintaining the QC system and supporting compliance with contract requirements through inspections, tests, and coordinated submittals.

The role requires reading drawings, reviewing test reports, and maintaining logs while working with project teams, testing labs, and regulators. EM 385-1-1 and OSHA familiarity is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
• Two+ years of construction, engineering, inspection, or quality control experience preferred.
• Experience with QCS/RMS or similar owner-required systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining an effective QC system to ensure contract compliance.
• Perform field inspections to verify materials, workmanship, and construction methods comply with contract documents.
• Identify deficiencies, support corrective actions, and verify completion.
• Coordinate with testing laboratories, subcontractors, and project personnel.
• Support project closeout, final inspections, and turnover documentation.
