Job summary

Expect routine start-up checks, documentation, and collaboration with multiple departments to sustain food safety and quality. Requirements include a 1+ year lab background and a degree in Food Science or relevant field; proficiency in Excel/Word; strong communication and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• AS or BS in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology or related field.
• 1+ year in a laboratory environment (food/bev/pharma or consumer products preferred).
• Strong math, reading comprehension, and computer skills (Excel, Word, Windows, DB systems).
• Excellent communication and writing skills; detail-oriented and able to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Perform lab preparation and analytical tests on finished goods, raw materials, and packaging.
• Monitor production line start-up and continual quality during runs.
• Maintain laboratory records and documentation; assist with inventory management.
• Conduct microbiological and ATP testing; ensure GMP/GLP/SSOP compliance.
• Communicate quality issues to production and quality teams.
