Job description

We are seeking individuals with at least five years of professional experience in a laboratory setting. Candidates should be proficient in utilizing specialized instrumentation, including viscometers and softening point apparatus, or possess a strong background in quality control.

Position Overview

This is a six-month contract role with the potential for an extension.

Core Responsibilities

• Execute quality control assessments according to established protocols and ensure all findings are recorded precisely within the SAP system within designated timeframes.
• Promptly notify leadership regarding any materials that fail to meet specifications or fall outside of defined process parameters.
• Contribute to the Non-Conforming Material Report (NCMR) workflow by providing data entry and assisting with root cause investigations.
• Serve as an active contributor to the Food Safety, HACCP, and GMP committees.

Daily Tasks

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace while strictly adhering to all laboratory safety protocols.
• Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by following OSHA, EPA, and internal EHS standards.
• Organize your testing schedule to align with R&D goals and customer-driven deadlines.
• Ensure that all testing results are recorded and communicated with high accuracy.
• Prepare and manage samples in strict accordance with standard laboratory operating procedures.
• Perform all necessary equipment certifications, calibrations, and pre-use checks.
• Utilize laboratory instrumentation such as Gardner, Softening Point, and Viscometer tools to conduct required sample analysis.
• Oversee the lifecycle of the nonconforming material process, including initial entry, task assignment, and final closure.
• Support the broader Quality Services team by assisting with various operational tasks as needed.
• Analyze and summarize production-related data for reporting purposes.
• Assist in the oversight of management retention processes.
• Execute calibration and maintenance tasks for plant-level equipment.
• Attend all mandatory meetings related to Food Safety, GMP, and HACCP compliance.
• Perform routine inspections for Glass and GMP standards.
