Job summary

Contract Pharmacal Corp. is seeking a Laboratory Technician for its Quality Control team in Hauppauge, NY. The role involves performing chemical and microbial testing in a regulated GMP environment to ensure product quality and safety.

Typical duties include logging samples, conducting analyses, and maintaining supplies. The ideal candidate has an Associate’s degree or relevant experience, familiarity with cGMPs, and proficiency in Word, Excel, and data management.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or relevant work experience required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience with laboratory chemistry or microbiology and cGMPs preferred.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, graphs/charts and databases.

Responsibilities

• Follow all laboratory SOPs, including safety, chemical handling and storage, gowning, equipment use, cGMP, GDP, data integrity, DEA requirements.
• Log in and track all samples received in the lab for testing and release.
• Perform laboratory physical chemistry testing (weighing, particle size analysis, LOD, Halogen Moisture Analysis, Moisture Content/KF, Water Activity, etc.), identification testing (FTIR, UV-VIS, TLC) and wet chemistry testing (ICP-OES/MS, DT, titrations, pH, dissolution media/stock sample preparation).
• Perform sampling, plating, and testing of product assigned for microbiology analysis; media preparation, sterilization and storage.
• Maintain proper labeling of chemical reagents and keep a clean, organized lab environment.
• Assist in laboratory investigations and in data review and reporting.
